It was drizzling while I was driving on my way back to home. It was already 11:30 PM And I was late from my work. 

I turned on the radio and began listening to the songs playing. Suddenly something got my attention. It was an announcement on the radio. It said about a psycho serial killer who was on a killing spree since few days. 

The broadcaster announced -"Initial anticipation reveals that the serial killer stops the cars for a lift, just to enter it and after some casual conversation brutally kills his victims with a hidden sharp knife. 

The killer usually appears in lonely streets and late at night. There's no motive behind the killings. Police are investigating. "I continued driving for a while until my eyes got stuck on a man besides the road waving his hand hastily to stop the car. 

{Scary stories}

"Please stop the car, it's very urgent. My daughter is very ill and i am waiting here for half an hour for a vehicle". The man said worriedly .

I hesitated a little whether I should let him enter but seeing his condition, decided to give him a lift .  Atleast his face was not lying , I though initially .  The man got in and sats beside and thank me gratefully. 

He seemed to be in his mid 50s and looked pale. He was Wearing a gray coat which was completely wet. "I forgot to bring umbrella My umbrella", " He smiled blithely . 

"Where is your house ? " I asked him ."Not too far . . . "He replied shortly and mentioned some vague destination. " What has been to your daughter ?" She has got high fever since few days. I began driving again. The man cried on the talking but I didn't show much interest in his casual talks

As my minds reminds me about the announcement on the radio again and again. But in few minutes the voice of the man changed to my surprise. "Never mind but have you heard  the news of the serial killer? "

"Who? " I answered as if I knew nothing. " The one who stops the cars at late night for lifts and get into the car to kill the driver. "

" I Don't know about anything it " My voice shivered a little . "You should've . " He smiled maniacally .

" You have done a mistake, a great to say..." He suddenly pulled out a knife from his coat and pointed towards me. 

" Look man I wouldn't kill you if you listen to my words . Just give me all you have with you and leave the car. But if you don't do then ... ".

" I have nothing with me. I'm just on my way Back from office. "I interrupted. 

" Don't lie to me . Just leave the car without a word otherwise... " His voice raised up a bit.

"Otherwise what ? ""You would find your self drenched in a pool of blood With no help around. " He grinned nastily. 

"You may kill me, but She'll not spare you ! She who? "" The girl who is with me haven't you noticed t yet? "

"Where ?"Look at you back.. "He moved backward and that was the movement ! I wasted no time in taking you the sharp knife and slit his throat 

As he turned towards me . The man didn't even make any sound . Just blood gushing out of his neck and wetter his coat. I stopped my car by the road ,  got off from it and dragged the body towards the back of the car. I opened up the trunk and put the body inside . 

Well he wouldn't be alone there . As he  already has a companion .  There inside the trunk the body of that poor girl who had gave me the lift in her car a few hours back.! 

(The lift)...!
